MCCCC would not exist without the generosity of our contributors.
Those wishing to give to the organization can choose to donate goods, with guidelines below,
or to donate monetarily.
Guidelines for donating in-kind items: The Caring Center Thrift Shop has a drop box located in front of the shop at 304 Miller Street in Anahuac. Items should not be dropped at the Food Pantry.
The drop box slot is not large, so consider packing your items in tall kitchen garbage bags rather than the large, 30-gallon bags. Those don't fit well through the drop, and frequently rip open. Games with pieces should be placed in zip-loc bags.
State law does not allow shops such as ours to handle used mattresses. We can take used pillows, because they can be washed.
If you have large furniture items, or a great number of items to donate, please visit us during our store hours (9AM to 1PM, Mondays and Thursdays and 9AM to Noon on the 1st Saturday of the month) so we can arrange for someone to meet you to get the items inside.
We are fortunate that local donors provide us with many good pieces of clothing, and a variety of like-new toys and hard goods. Please choose to place items that are stained, torn, broken or coated in cigarette smoke in the trash instead of sending it to us. It really helps the backs of the volunteers!
MCCCC is blessed to have a solid foundation of regular contributors, either from local churches, or from individuals.
Perhaps your church would consider partnering with us on a monthly level. Amount of monthly contribution is entirely up to the church. As a participating church, you are entitled to up to two representatives on the MCCCC Board of Directors.
For more information on participating monetarily, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
